On Sunday, November 14th, the Sabattus Knights of Columbus Council #13181 hosted its annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
Each year, the Bishop Edward C. O'Leary Council #13181 hosts a Thanksgiving Dinner. This is free and open to all in the community and is intended to be an outreach for those in the community that are less fortunate. Donations are accepted and any proceeds are donated to our Church Fund to support Our Lady of the Rosary and the parish community. The Brother Knight's of our Council roasted 6 turkeys and cooked 50 lbs of potatoes, turnip, squash, carrots, stuffing and gravy along with beverages and desserts. The dinner was held on Sunday, November 14th at noon and was attended by approximately 100 guests. Due to the ongoing pandemic, both in-person and take-out meals were offered. The dinner was started by the Grand Knight offering grace before the food was served, and concluded with all the food consumed or packaged for take-out meals.
This has been and continues to be one of our most popular events. All that participated really enjoyed the meal and the fellowship. Donations in excess of $600 were collected for the church fund. It was great to have everyone together again after not being able to host the Thanksgiving meal in 2020.
